nonsense. GBP/Canelo could have made an offer and tried to negotiate the purse split. Nothing prevented them from doing that. The only way the "mando" thing would have come into play was if it went to purse bid, and had GBP made a decent offer there would have been no reason to send it to bid.......

Not sure why anyone would doubt this. Khan made close to 8 figures fighting Canelo why wouldn't GGG get an offer for more than that? All K2 has to do is reveal the offer to make GBP look like liars but then can't because the offer is legit. I have been saying it for the last year, the fight will happen but only on Canelo's terms.
If they offered him above 10 million with even a token percentage GGG should jump on that. They won't get any better than that because GGG has no leverage to demand more than that.

In the aftermath of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's victory over Liam Smith on Saturday night at AT&T Stadium near Dallas, Texas, almost immediately the talk centered around a potential match-up with middleweight king, Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (36-0, 33KOs). It was revealed by Golden Boy Promotions that they had made an initial proposal to Golovkin's side.
