prime vitali crushes the current joshua......

the problem is i haven't seen nearly enough of joshua. if joshua can be fighters like ortiz & fury my opinion changes. if he has a long title run while having these guys on his resume my opinion changes.

not enough is known about joshua to say...........

Vitali Ruins him. Size and strength < Skill and ring IQ.

I like Joshua and I think he has potential but Vitali was the best Klitcho. If Joshua has a chin he gets beat to death over 12 rounds if he dont he gets taken out by the 3rd round. Vitali was the best heavyweight of the 2000s, his brother just cared more about it. There is a short list in all of history that could beat Vitali, Joshua isnt one of them.

Waiting for Weltschmerz to comment in this thread. I'm sure he has an opinion on the subject.

I try to refrain from commenting much on fantasy fights these days (I believe we have a separate section for this?). H2H, Vitali is one of the greatest HW's in history and he would pick Joshua apart. As you also pointed out, he is not the same as Vladimir, in fact they are quite different as fighters. Vitali is one of my all time favorites and I always rated him higher than Vlad. He should have been the one of the two ruling the division in my opinion but Vitali was always a case of shoulda/woulda/coulda as we know. We never witnessed his full potential as a champion because of his injuries and in my opinion also because he (actually) personally let Vlad be the no. 1. And he wouldn't fight him.

Joshua is still green, we haven't seen the best of him yet. He has very much been on a learning curve and it's evident from fight to fight even though he stops opponents fast. We still need to see him in a tough battle where his chin and durability really get tested. Whyte and Breazeale hardly gave him this. At 26 yrs we haven't seen his full potential. He will rule the division in a few years.

This would be his toughest fight on paper anyone could give Vitali beyond a prime Mike Tyson Lewis or his own brother whos career is NOT over yet . Joshua can fight inside better than any big man to lace them up even now,bc he can do it completely squared up without angling shots or having to play the lean back counter one ,he has the ability to slip under shots which you rarely see a 6'6 guy do and thats what lets him go full throttle to the head and body in close quarters and he uses his entire body with digging shots not just arm ones with half power . He is also getting better at counter punching for his right hand ,jabs are about equal where Vitali uses his more to control fights from out side where Joshua uses his to stun opponents and set up for inside attack .

The truth is Vitali is MUCH better than given credit for, and Joshua is HIGHLY underratted .Stylistically Vitalis superior ring genership and chin vs Joshuas aggressive style /power and speed would be a dream fight both are great at dictating distance and BOTH are hard to land a clean shot on and BOTH are hevy hitters that would hurt one another . If they fought at their best i would say........ Vitali by a hair ! Joshua is not fully at his best yet give or take another 3 years .

He fought nothing like his brother. He was brawler with tons of upper body movement. Wlad is pure outside fighter.

Fury and Wilder are clumsy oafs. Neither of them would do **** to a prime Vitali.

I really believe there are few HWs ever born who would beat Vitali and Lennnox other than each other.

No offense but you haven't seen Vitali fight much.. If you had, you wouldn't have made a thread saying Odlanier Solis was on his way to stop Vitali..
