  • I want to do kickboxing, but I'm skinny-fat, weak and have bad stamina. wat do?

I'm 17 years old and I want to do kickboxing. I have always had a passion for kickboxing/fighting, but the problem is I'm skinny-fat, weak & have bad stamina. so it's pretty pointless to start at this moment. I should instead lift weights and do cardio for a couple years and when I become ripped, strong and conditioned, I can start up with kickboxing. good plan, right?

    what do you think?

Running and jump ropes will be your best friend.

Then push ups, pull ups, and various weights

Find a Muay Thai gym in your area and start taking classes. While you're getting in shape you'll also be learning techniques. Martial arts schools see people of all age and fitness levels join. They'll be very helpful and dont worry about guys making fun of you or anything.

Have sexual intercourse with the corpse of a German hooker ten seconds after her death while crackheads cough on you. Works better than an advanced roid cycle.

Don't give yourself excuses not to do something before you've even tried doing it.

Excuses are for losers. By starting your training you'll be on your way to fixing all those problems you mentioned, but it can only happen if you start doing and stop doubting.

I did kickboxing when I was 15 years old, but I quit because I was out of shape and the training was pretty intense and the sparring was pretty tough. I also had to fight people bigger and stronger than me. that's why I want to lift weights and do cardio for a couple years to build muscle, strength and stamina, and then go back to kickboxing

Sounds like you were at a pretty competitive school. Maybe look for something a little more family oriented or if you want to train and get in shape at home, get a 'Tae-Bo' type video or something. I do think you should be practicing techniques while getting in the shape you want to be in. Spend some time throwing your kicks, elbows, etc while gaining the muscle and stamina you want. Good luck
