Weak field, but currently Frampton I think. Crawford in with a shot.

I agree that even though my heart says GGG, the winner of the Ward/Kovalev fight will be the probable Fighter of the year.

However, if there is a fight in December between Jacobs and GGG AND if GGG can KO Jacobs in spectacular fashion, it's a toss up.

If he can KO Jacobs with a spectacular finish it would sway. Plus he's dominate as fuck.

I like Canelo. He put two huge bragging Englishmen down for the count. Every day for months before the fight both Khan and Beefy had statements in the media about how they couldn't possibly lose and they would become THE MAN in boxing after they beat up or in Beefy's case knocked out Canelo. At least Smith praised Canelo after his loss. Sore loser, poor sportsman and all around cry baby Khan had nothing but bad things to say about Canelo and excuses after he got knocked out cold for a few minutes with one mighty blow. Canelo takes the fight out of his opponents. None of the guys he fought in the last couple of years has been as good after they fought Canelo as they were before he fought them. That includes Lara, Trout and Angulo. I predict Khan and Beefy will never be champions or as good again. Cotto and Kirkland have yet to fight again and I doubt they will ever be as good either. Frampton had a damn good year as well with a close win over the excellent Santa Cruz in a great fight so maybe he deserves fighter of the year.

I forgot about the up coming fight between Ward and Kovalev. If one them wins in an impressive fashion they will probably get fighter of the year.

If Gonzalez adds another top 5 opponent in his new division I don't think it's easy to say who belongs as FOTY but it certainly would only be between Gonzalez and Frampton.

Easy, hands down, without question, the winner of Ward vs Kova.
