    Post and discuss

Golovkin right now, but it will be Kovalev or Ward, whoever wins that fight takes it, unless Fury's win over Wlad outdoes it. One of Wlad/Fury/Ward/Kovalev will be the fighter of the year.

        Carl Frampton without question.
Wins over his #2 rival and a win over the #1 guy in the next division.

        Nobody else even comes close.

Hmmm. My memory ain't great but I'm thinking not much happened to impress first half of the year. As of now I'd proably have Chocolatito, Crawford and Usyk as the front runners. All three have established themselves by beating the top dog in their respective divisions. OK they all only have 1 really significant fight this year, but that's pretty much expected these days. Hmmm. Actually on second thoughts Frampton might be the dude - the wins over Quigg and LSC are probably a better brace of wins than anyone else has this year. If only he hadn't avoided Rigo like the plague...
