GGG vs Canelo. What's a fair split between them and realistic ppv numbers?

First of all I'm not a fan of either dude so no bias of any sort here. I really don't care for either but if we are being fair and objective, what is a fair split between these two and how much ppv numbers it gets according to you?

Well first of all I think there should be a split in ppv revenue. I think GGG will get a cut and I think Oscar was just talking out of his ass. With that being said, I think a 60/40 split for canelo is fair and objective. Listen, Canelo is the biggest PPV attraction now and he brings in revenue. I understand GGG has a fan base but not as much as Canelo and that is obvious. GGG flopped big time his 1st go around in ppv and Canelo has been on ppv a lot of times and every last one of them did way better than GGG's ppv.

As far as ppv number's are concerned, I think it cracks a little over a 1 million ppv buys, maybe 1.2 million. Canelo vs Cotto was projected to do way better numbers than it did and they both have big fan bases. I think those numbers are pretty realistic. What do you guys think?

85/15 would be a fair offer, it would probably do 1.4 million PPVS at 70 a peice thats 98 Million$$ that would be 14.7 million just in PPV for team Golovkin

GGG needs to realise that he needs Canelo not the other way around. I am just being fair and objective about this. There are plenty of times when a proven top calibre fighter has had to take low money to get his career to the next level. If you take Mayweather as an example, he was the B-side against Gatti, and than took a a low split against Oscar. Why? First of all even though Floyd was the number 1 fighter p4p in the world, Oscar was still the biggest draw in boxing and he knew he needed that fight to become a crossover ppv star in his own right. He took 33%, and look what happened after that.

If I was team GGG I would aim for a 75-25% split, it will be a hell of a lot of money and he has a good chance to win the fight and instantly becomes a huge star. Even 20% wouldn't be a bad result, 15% would be a little low but still a lot of money, 10% is a low ball offer. Flat fee sometimes sounds good, but fighters can leave a lot of money on the table.

So yeah I think anything between 70-30 to 80-20 would be fair. Aim for the middle 75-25.

I think what he meant is, no where near 100% will go to the fighters teams. Other people get paid too, the network/distributor/promoter
