Why did Smith just stand in front of the Alvarez taking punches? I don't get why some fighters don't use their feet, move their head, Bob and weave, stick and move, he just stands in range taking punches.....

Exactly what i was afraid of him doing. At least he learned today his style does not work at world level. Liam has been use to fighting people with no speed, no power and technically not that good at all.
That is why he has developed a style of just staying there and waiting for his opponents to punch themselves out then come on later in the fight.
You cant take punches of Canelo because you think your tough because he is a strong junior middleweight. Liam is not a strong junior middleweight but he has a big size but they are two different things. You can be big but weak as **** e.g. the big David price at heavyweight gets chinned most the time.
Liam is also not a big puncher, he has just been matched up pretty well with weaker opposition. Tough dude though but that isnt enough sometimes
