A more likely scenario is that Golden Boy reached out to HBO, HBO told them the cupboard was bare till after the holidays, so Golden Boy told Lemieux to fight a dummy as a stay-busy for now......

If that's true, I doubt Main Events could even afford it. My guess Stevens would want at least a half mil... and Lemieux a mil. Just speculation on my part. But wouldn't that lineup seal the deal for selling a bunch of PPVs? It would be an amazing card... throw a LSC/Frampton rematch on there. Holy moly. I'd fly to Canada or Vegas for that once... without a jet. Ha

id accept the lemiuex hate if not for the people praising rosado who lemiuex destroyed. hbo turned the fight down because they feel they can make more money with lemiuex fighting in quebec where he's a star. than fighting stevens outside of canada. DL sells really good in canada.

stevens should just take the fight in quebec.
