He made the weight the fight was contracted for. He is hardly the first boxer to ever weigh in nude. If he wins the fight then he is strong enough to get the job done. He has been a pro for 11 years. He makes a small fortune every time he fights. He seems quite capable of managing his own career. He can fight at any weight he chooses and it's nobody's business but his own. Posters on here always want to tell world class boxers what weight they should fight at and who they should fight next. The problem with that is these boxers already have managers and trainers to help them make those decisions. They do as they please and not what some fans want them to do. If Canelo wasn't comfortable fighting at 154 then he wouldn't be fighting there. Making an unnaturally low weight would make him weaker, not stronger on fight night. If he fights well and knocks Smith out then who can truthfully say he shouldn't fight at 154. Let's see what happens.
