I think that in a day and age when fighters want to duck and cherry pick, it is a dam shame that Shannon Briggs will go to top heavyweight fighters gym's making challenges, and he even hunts them down on the street to challenge them, and he still can't get a fight.
Briggs might be ranked about #30, but he can't get anybody in the top 30 to fight him.
If guys like Klitschko, Fury, Haye, Wilder, or Povetkin ever gave Briggs an opportunity, I think I'd pick Briggs to win.
What is Briggs supposed to do to get a fight. He goes to their gyms, press conferences, vacation spots, personal appearances, their fights, and even their house, talking about "Let's go champ"!
There are some interesting fights out there that boxing fans want to see, but its hard to generate a million buys on PPV.
What they need is a strong undercard to help sell the main event, like Golovkin vs. Jacobs.
A promoter could put together a card with 25 million in purses, and match
Golovkin v Jacobs
Kovolev v Adonis Stevenson
Stiverne v Big Baby Miller
Briggs v Haye
Callum Smith v Badou Jack
A card like that could sell 2 million PPV's at $40.00 a pop or more.
The trash talking buildup to the fight would be epic

Stiverne and Big Baby dam near got it on at Briggs gym already
Briggs already calls Haye every name in the book

You wouldn't even need a main event. Just bill it as Slugfest 2017.
