A middleweight who has never actually fought at the full 160 lbs right?

If Canelo makes 154 vs Smith than it makes sense for him to take it slow.

Why dosent GGG chase him and go down? He said 154-168 no problem??????

he held the most prestigious 160 pound belt that carries history and lineage.

then decided to give it up because GGG was the mandatory.

i know you mexican and you support canelo but come on,

        have some honesty and objectivity.

the same title he gained at 155???
but you didnt answer my question, canelo being a jmw at 154 should not be used as an excuse to prevent this fight from happening, ggg has been parroting for 4 years he will beat anyone from 154 to 168, well guess what? 154 is within the limits... no more excuses like 155 is not a weightclass, he needs to fight at 160 cuz he is a mw, canelo will be a jmw champion tomorrow and that changes everything on gggs diet...

            that happened bro.

that's why canelo is being held accountable to fight GGG.

as for what boxers said, LOOOL, are you seriously gonna use that as justification? have you heard what boxers, promoters, refs, judges, fans have said over the years???

            its uttery irrelevant and trivial.

what matters is the truth of the situation.

            The Truth of the Situation:

GGG vs Canelo is the biggest fight in boxing right now.

GGG is the best 160 pounder in the world and canelo is the best 154lb in the world who went up to take cotto's wbc lineal 160 lb crown.

            Canelo rehydrates as a lightheavyweight.

= most common sense most righteous thing to see in boxing right now is

Canelo vs GGG for the undisputed middleweight championship of the world.

lets not make this anymore complicated.

            this isnt rocket science.

            its quite simple really...

i think that for a fight between the best jmw of the world vs the best mw of the world a CW at 157 will be more than fair for both, canelo goes up 3 pounds and ggg goes down 3, but since the so called small MW cant even go under 159 then i think waiting for canelo to naturally move to 160 is the next fair thing... when canelo had the title and ggg was his mando ggg had every right to demand 160, but that is no longer the case here... i dont think canelo stays at 154 after this fight unless cotto , pac or floyd made an offer,..

Canelo only won the MW belt by default, because Cotto had the belt and chose to fight at 155 because he is far from being a MW himself.

Canelo is a JMW and that's where he is a PPV star.

I don't think you are ducking if you choose not to fight in a higher division
good point. in my honest opinion, i dont think canelo cares who he fights. its his handlers, promoter and manager guiding him to the highest paid lowest risk matchups. at the end of the day, its his career he has the final say. i will give him a pass and other fighters too, they have to do what pays them the most, they are the ones having to secure their future and support their families. as much i want to see canelo vs GGG, i will be patient and continue to support boxing. you see too many ex boxers that had their career shortened by injuries end up broke or bankrupt because they didnt secure their earnings. so if a fighter chooses to fight and take the best pay day so be it. its up to us to pay for the ppv or not. i enjoy watching all matchups. well not all, not a fan of the klitschko jab and hold.

                    exactly.

you want to be a PPV star, then fight on the terms offered. Don't try and call the shots when your fights are showing for free on hbo.
