i never post here but i read all the comments.
2 things i have to comment on.
1. with all due respect to Smith, he may be a champ and undefeated, but he has never even fought a B level fighter before. he doesn't have anything for Canelo in this fight, it will be a boxing lesson for as long as it lasts.
2. the Canelo-GGG debate doesn't make much sense to me, especially when people say Canelo is ducking GGG. I like both fighters and rate both as A level fighters, but GGG needs this fight more than Canelo.
Canelo is already a PPV star
Canelo fought Mayweather when he was 23 years old and on Mayweather's terms. Knowing he couldnt make 152 and knowing it was too soon in his career. Why because he knew it was his chance to become a star.
Logically you cannot come into the game and call out a PPV star on your terms, and expect a PPV split.
If GGG was that desperate for the fight, he should have done what PAC eventually did to get the Mayweather fighter and accept that he was not the A team. Take whats on offer if your only motive is the fight, and take your chances to become a PPV star.
I like GGG he is a warrior and a good fighter, but he knows the only way he is gonna make serious money and become a PPV star is by beating the star.
So he needs Canelo. simple as thatComment

let's be real here.
Canelo only won the MW belt by default, because Cotto had the belt and chose to fight at 155 because he is far from being a MW himself.
Canelo is a JMW and that's where he is a PPV star.
I don't think you are ducking if you choose not to fight in a higher divisionComment

Starting to really dislike Canelo now. You can't say "Put the gloves back on" "we don't **** about" and then openly duck the guy, literally hand him your title and then keep talking.
I used to respect him and thought he would take on all comers but this was one of the worst ducks in recent years. Fine if he doesn't want to fight him but if you hand a man your belt, just stay quiet.
I would p1ss myself laughing if Smith somehow beat him.Comment

i don't think a man who turned pro at 16 and fought grown men can be called a chicken.
He has the aces and he has the cash. He can retire today.
GGG still looking for his opportunity at 34, in a MW division without Ward counts for nothing.Comment
