Texas always comes out for a big event. I was at the Canelo/Trout fight in San Antonio and the crowd was great.
This fight will be no different. Not sure how it will do on PPV but the building will be rocking for sure.

IF they have already sold more tickets than any fight they have had Cowboys stadium, then that means that 15,000 people who purchased tickets won't show up because I am sure that the Alvarez/Smith paid attendance won't be more than 20,000.

"We've already given away more free tickets than for any other fight that we've had here."

        Fixed that for ya.

Btw, gate and PPV are two separate things. PPV is the main criteria for judging the popularity of a fighter. Let's wait and see how many households order this BS fight.

Don't tell that to GGG fans. They justified 97k PPV by bringing up the live gate.

Nah son that's GGG style. He's the one known to give away free tickets to his fights. Need proof they were giving away buy 1 get 1 free tickets to Wade and NEVER disclosed the live gate figures which prove how many tickets you give away free. Funny you can look up virtually every Canelo fight's live gate figures. Because they ACTUALLY sell tickets. LMAO

If true, good for boxing. I personally don't see the allure in watching a boxing match in a football stadium. They look like midgets from up there, heh.

I'll be surprised if the crowd exceeds 50,000. It seems like Canelo consistently draws 40,000 max. Add another 10,000 or so for the hype of Cowboy Stadium and they'll be right around 50,000.

Oscar De La Hoya should have Canelo's next fight at the Coliseum in Los Angeles or Azteca Stadium in Mexico City and see if they could get an attendance of over 97K.

That would really clown Little G, a live attendance greater than his PPV number, .

Great to hear! I still believe that a great live draw does not equal high ppv #'s (see GGG) and I think they'll be fortunate to break 300k. No hate, just foreseeing it since they did nothing to introduce Smith to American audiences and those of us who have seen him mostly found him forgettable. Hope they do great #'s though.
