the money comes from the ppv sales, canelos purse vs angulo was 1.2 mil and he ended up getting around 8 or 9 millions on a fight that sold 375k ppvs, i believe he had an 80-20 splitt on the ppv with golden boy....
the 3mil will come from the ticket sales as well as liams purse...

Canelo will do well off the PPV also. Plus he makes stacks of cashish on endorsements for Mexican TV. The guy is doing quite well, much better financially than GGG.
