Well what was his reward for a lack of skill and defense? A vicious KO from Mosley after taking punishment throughout his career.

Best believe that boy Lil G is gonna have his own "Margarito-Mosley" moment when the shh hits the fan and he realises you can't be taking punishment like that with no repercussions. It's always the same with guys who used their face to block punches, they seem invincible and then next thing you know their career is over in a flash.

People want to convince themselves that GGG has no defense and is just a come at your power puncher, when the exact opposite is true.

If you think he has no defense, you either don't understand the subtleties of boxing, which is no knock on anyone. A lot of the subtleties to his style you have to have actually been in the ring to learn about and be taught.

His defense is much much better than he is given credit for. It is efficient and subtle. He moves his head just enough, he controls the range, he picks off shots with his gloves.

His defensive statistics bear this out as well.
