Very talented Kazakh fighter turning pro at 160!!!!

Meiirim Nursultanov who currently trains in Oxnard with Roberto Garcia, will be making his pro debut within the next few months, likely in November. He's a standout amateur and has win over Olympic gold medalist Arlen Lopez.

He's only 23, so he'll be around for a while. This could be the guy Golovkin passes the torch to when he's done. Keep an eye on this boy, he's a real talent.

EDIT: Zhanibek Alimkhanuly who was one of the favourites for gold and robbed in Rio, will also be turning pro in, maybe in October!! He was chosen to represent Kazakhstan instead of Nursultanov at the Olympics, he's the more technical out of the two, but they're both beasts.

    Kazakhstan are taking over 160!!

Yeah this guy was good at the olympics. Hope Garcia doesn't riun this guy. I figured this guy would go to Wildcard with Roach, fernando Vargas etc.

Only thing he has in common with Golovkin is nationality, and I absolutely don't think that you need to be of same nationality in order to pass the torch.

              But good luck to him!

I honestly don't rate Roach as a strategist coach very highly. Roach's fighters pretty much have only Plan A & always seem out of place when it doesn't work ala Postol. Manny was gifted with speed & power & Roach made him brave, but sadly Pascal, Postol & the rest dont have the natural gift of speed & only brawn won't take them far..

Have you ever seen him fight? He actually has a lot in common with Golovkin, he's an aggressive counter-puncher with very good power. Obviously you don't need to be of the same nationality to have the torch passed to you, that's clearly not what I said...

Btw it looks like Alimkhanuly will make his debut on the Kanat Islam card in October in Kazakhstan.
