Poor Vargas. If only he had people looking out for his best interest like Canelo currently does.
Fans don't like it, but they're not the ones risking their lives or potentially cutting short their earning potential. Boxing is a business first.
End of story.

Canelo just turned 26 by the time he's 27 he should be in his physical prime then and only then should he fight Lil G after all he has time on his side.

It's rare that boxers have long drawn out 20 yr careers so sometimes you have to strike when the iron is hot like vargas did. Most fighters historically who were world champions in their early 20s were done by their 30s. Fighters peak at different times. Oscar can drag out canelos career as best he can but there's no guarantee that by protecting him, he's going to have a long career. Especially if he keeps physically draining his body to make weight.

Vargas is just a hater! Canelo is using his brain and not getting it beat in like Vargas did.
