IS it considered a duck if the opponent?

Doesn't generate the financial return a fighter is a custom to???GGG-Lara

    Rigo--And anyone as examples

I know it can easily be used as a cop out for fighters to avoid other fighters. But there should be some serious though about understanding where a fighter is coming from.

Not one of you guys would leave a high paying job to get paid peanuts for a harder job, even if certain people respected you for it.

it's a tough line to draw, but if the guy is genuinely the most deserving then it is a duck. this is a sport, after all.

in lara's case, golovkin's not ducking a guy who pretty blatantly doesn't want the fight. just look at lara's behavior, and htebehavior of his camp. his people are not persuing the fight. decubas used to call out guys right after they'd signed to fight other epopel [decubas is the guy who runs lara's twitter.]

if lara REALLY wanted the fight he'd go to 160 and campaign to get a shot at the title. he's content to fight a rematch [yes, a rematch,] with vanes.

"canelo fought lara.... nonito fought rigo..."

Frampton will not, nor will valdev or santa cruz, donaire is irrelevant now.

Lara was a mistake on the Caneo team. Everyone thinks less of Canelo for that fight

Only if the other guy is a natural rival and is rated similarly. Bonus points if there are no other alternatives and you still wont fight him.

You're expecting the common boxing fan to understand a basic difference between two situations.

The common boxing fan is completely incapable of this.

              Double wide, baby.

Canelo was in the same division than Lara, and payed him just 1 million.

Lara's manager: "Lara commands a lot of money".

They want a fat check to face GGG. Not gonna happen.

Rigo has done nothing to deserve a fight unless he want to fight for free. The guy isn't active. It takes two to sell and build a fight. Rigo isn't doing his part. Frampton or LSC can fight Rigo and sell out the arena and not one ticket will be sold to come watch Rigo. But Rigo would still want a high purse. I don't care how skilled Rigo is. He stunk up the joint on the Canelo/Cotto undercard then he was given a fight and couldn't get a passport at the last minute. Finally got the fight and he has nothing else lined up. He's down to one fight a year. He's not doing his part to build up and sell the fight. He don't deserve shit! He was turning down fights left and right that's why he got stripped. I have no sympathy for Rigo.

This right here, go head and make your money fights but you still have to face the best to be considered the best and if you dont than yes you are ducking.
