james toney will beat john ruiz, though maybe not on the scorecards, BUT HE WILL WIN THE FIGHT. he beats Byrd too, if chris gives him a shot - the new stand and trade Byrd is easier to hit, and a copy of james' style. toney will decision Byrd, maybe even stop him late, though Byrdy got a great chin

James Toney can and will beat Ruiz, Byrd, and Brewster, only Vitali could give him trouble.

I think Brewster's the only beltholder Toney can beat now. And I'm not sure about that one...

His body's getting old; he wouldn't be able to get away with his over-training for the Booker fight against a Top 10 guy. I've never seen a guy getting massaged that early in a fight because he's too tight. A better heavyweight might have stopped Toney late in that fight when Booker was just assuming the role of a punching bag.

Toney will beat Ruiz, Byrd and Pooster i have no doubt. Vitali offers size and power to Toney and i think this fight all depends on how Toney takes his power. Don't judge him before you see how he takes a prime heavyweight punch. Those other false Champions will get beat by him in my opinion. Byrd will be the trickiest fight for him as Byrd is pretty quick.

People don't like Toney because of his mouth but if you compare him to the other Heavyweight fighters at the moment he is by far the most entertaining out there.

the only reason people doubt him is because of size, but he weighed around 220 for both his heavy fights so far, and he was a 200lb football player at school (god knows why he fought at 160/168 at all) so it should'nt be an issue. in terms of ability, c'mon guys, love him or loathe him, you've got to admit he's in a different class to ruiz, klitchko, byrd et al. if he can stop ruiz trying to have sex with him he'll make him look like the bum he is. james toney is one of the best fighters in the world and has been for 14 years. his only problems have been motivational and he's been unlucky with injuries this last year. but if he stays pain free he'll clean up this division, you'll see.
