GGG Was happy to fight Rosado at a catchweight at 158

Gabriel Rosado says he never asked for a catchweight to face middleweight titlist Gennady Golovkin, and has officially rejected a maximum weight of 158 pounds to fight at the full 160-pound weight limit.
Now I ask You
WHY IS GGG OKAY FIGHTING ROSADO AT A CATCHWEIGHT BUT NOT CANELO?

CARSON, Calif. -- It seemed that WBA/IBO/WBC interim-middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (31-0, 28KOs) had his big fight, but the matchup with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fell by the wayside. However, the fight is not dead in the water. Speaking at the post-fight press conference Saturday after yet another GGG knockout, K2 managing director Tom Loeffler said the fight is still possible
But Wanted A Catchweight of 164 against Ward
source
Promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, who handle IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs), says a fight can certainly be worked out with WBA super middleweight king Andre Ward (28-0, 15 KOs). But the deal would have to be under Golovkin's terms and not dictated by Ward. Loeffler feels Golovkin has surpassed Ward as a ticket seller and in terms of name recognition - making GGG the A-side of the negotiations.

Why wouldn't Ward go to 164 for GGG when he would go all the way down to 160 to fight Mayweather? One word. SHOOK!!!! See how easy that is to do, you ***ing Jackass.Comment

Both ggg and canelo are being *****es about a potential fight. Canelo moreso than ggg. However, if ggg wants that name on his resume and possibly expand his brand, then I believe he'll have to give in to some demands from the ginger. Especially in the weight department. It's ugly and ******, but that's the way boxing has worked.
Now if ggg sticks to his word and won't budge on weight then I'll respect him for it, but I'd simply evict him to keep canelo's name out of his mouth. Move on, fight bjs or jacobs and put him in the rearviewComment

They sent Edwin Rodriguez a contract for 164 too. And a 10lb rehydration clause. People either don't know, don't care, or forgot about that. It's obvious his team really don't think he'll do well at that weight and are only willing to sacrifice him for a good payday. That 154-168 is a marketing scam. It sounds good but they've never actually followed thru on it.GGG Turned Down Catchweight Against Canelo at 158.

“I would love to [fight Gennady], his team and promotional company send me a contract to fight at 164lbs and next day they say I have to be 10lbs off. They go on HBO and say they’re big enough to fight anybody from 154 to 168, after I win this tournament I’m open if you want to fight me. My weight is 168lbs, come and get it.”
Rodriguez explained further that not only was he dissatisfied with the terms of the fight, but he also felt frustrated about the situation in its entirety and even took a stab at what a catch weight could suggest about the confidence in Golovkin and his team.
“Don’t send me a contract saying I have to be 10lbs off or come down to a catch weight, I’m a super middleweight and you said you’d fight anyone from 154 to 168 but then you’re fighting guys at light middleweights. If you’re really as good as you say and your team really believes you’re that good then move up and fight me at 168 and stop sending me contracts that aren’t even worth looking at.”

What a pu££yHe also turned down a 157 catchweight for Brook making the WW go to the full 160 limit, after years of saying he could make 154. The guy is a coward.
