Unfortunately for him, Burns is a "négligeable quantity" in this "boxing equation"... But, I guess, he may sell big in the U.K. ... (not to mention the "home judging").
Sadly...there is not enough money in it for Arum. TC needs to fight a PPV draw before lazy casuals in America will pay attention. We want to be entertained with a "known" quantity...otherwise we will just continue watching street fighters on UFC productions. More blood. In the voice of Maximus Derridius (Gladiator) "Are you not entertained, America?" Let them eat cake.
This fight obviously makes sense. It looks like Burns vs Broner is going to happen. So the winners face off and we could have an undisputed at 140 by spring. Doubt it happens though unless Burns beats Broner, which I seriously doubt.
He is not "the rest". He is a beltholder, which is worth something.
Belt holder doesn't mean sht. He clearly is at the bottom of the list financially. There are stars and there are also well known fighters. He is not even close to either. Like I said, he can get in line like the rest, take a number, and wait his turn and develop his brand in the meantime. He has no monetary value to Crawford who would make more fighting at least a half dozen other fighters that are well know and have had repetitive TV exposure, and even stars, especially at the higher paying Welterweight ranks. For now it is - "Troyanovsky who???"
