I don't mind Canelo staying at 154 if he fights top guys but does anyone actually see him fighting a Jrock, Charlo, or Andrade? Who else is there at 154 that would be exciting?

Read between the lines. If he fights 1-2 fights at 154. Then it gives him one fight in between now and September to get ready. Who is he gonna fight in May on the Mexican holiday that both gets him ready for September clash they promised fans.

He's not fighting Monroe, Lemiuex, or Rosado on the May date.

They've been trying to drop GGG names to sell this fight with Smith. Now they are slowly backing away from the GGG fight.

They never intended to fight GGG.

First, Canelo could of easily said he didn't want the WBC title to be on. It technically shouldn't have been. Canelo said he wanted to be the first Mexican MW lineal champ. But he doesn't want to defend it, especially against the guy he told fans he would, repeatedly.

GGG made it clear he's not going to 154 for anyone but Floyd.

Hello, JRMW stops at 154. I know you Canelo fans love to pretend it's still JRMW, but if Canelo comes in at 155 for this smith fight, he won't get the title.

Because 155 is is MW, no matter how hard you all try to pretend it's not.

he wouldnt make statements like this if he was struggling to make weight, there was doubts weeks before , but is week fight now and he feels comfortable and confident about the weight... so much for 1 lb anyway, if he wanted he could hire and elite S&C coach, but so far it doesnt seem like he needs it...
and about the title, everyone knew he was after cotto, not the title, but cotto had the title on the line so it was and extra, like the cherry to the cake, another acomplishment, why complain?? even ggg didnt complain a bit when canelo was given a shot at a title cotto no longer had...

I've got no problem with Canelo at 154, I just want to see him fight the other top guys there and not have to bring up WW's from TR (Bradley, Vargas).

J-Rock/Charlo is a perfect example of the fight I want for Canelo. I'd like to see Brook have a tune-up at 154 before jumping in with Canelo, to show he's recovered.

It was add La Hoya who said he'd be fight GGG in a year.

GGG better be ready for me (because when he's at 168 or gets old, I'm coming).

It was De La Hoya who promised he would act like Floyd.

Les just pretend Canelo isn't suddenly killing himself to make 154 because of GGG.

After Missing weight for Angulo, Canelo has been fighting at MW. Now he was in line to face Golovking, he suddenly wants to kill himself to make 154 again.

did hbo released official numbers for the ggg-lemule flop?? they havent reased any numbers since then and they made it clear that they wont do this in the near future, so blame ggg for that...

and if you want to hold someone to his word, let me remind you that ggg and his team had been parroting for 4 years that they will fight anyone from 154 to 168...
