EXACTLY. If he wins on sat he will have beaten Ring's current number 1, 3, 6, and 8 top ranked Jr Middleweights in the world. So much for he is not fighting top fighters crap. He's 26 and already fought more world champs then most fighters face in their entire career. You got guys his age who are still called prospects and haven't yet faced a single top 10 ranked fighter. If he can still make weight then this is where he belongs. He fought 1 lb over in non 154 title fights. Big different then moving up to 160 to a new division something many fighters like GGG at age 35 refuse to do.

does cotto has an opponent yet?? i really hope they can start getting fights with haymon fighters, that will make the division really interesting... the khan fight was a beggining, but khans dad is the one that made it happen...Comment

GGG clearly sad he's not going to fight anyone below 160 except Floyd.
Canelo wanted to win the MW championship, now he's holding it hostage, seemingly for a long while.

He can't vacate the lineal. The ring mag title can be taken away after 18 months of fighting no top five MW. But the lineal 160 title is Canelo's until he loses it.
Which is why what he's doing us problematic.
He also said same thing about Cotto, then Cotto was stripped and Canelo fought for it anyways.

who is talking about 155??? 154 is a division and is called junior middleweight or super welterweight, ggg said him self that he will go to 154 for ppv fights, not just floyd, so he better start on a diet... and by the way canelo paid his wbc fees way before cotto was stripped, no one knew cotto wasnt going to pay until a day before the fight, maybe the wbc knew, but those crooks werent going to tell canelo and miss on a big event like that...
and about the lineal title, he got it by fighting a jmw at 155, maybe ggg should do the same if he cares so much about it...Comment

You'd be happy as hell if he could make 154 again, because you think he skates until GGG leaves. GGG has tried to fight SMW, unlike Canelo, who is running from 160, with the lineal.
By your logic GGG has beaten more top ten MW, while being ducked by Canelo, Jacobs, oh heck all top MW since 2012.
Let's not pretend the rankings are not by GBP owned ring mag.

First, Canelo could of easily said he didn't want the WBC title to be on. It technically shouldn't have been. Canelo said he wanted to be the first Mexican MW lineal champ. But he doesn't want to defend it, especially against the guy he told fans he would, repeatedly.
GGG made it clear he's not going to 154 for anyone but Floyd.
Hello, JRMW stops at 154. I know you Canelo fans love to pretend it's still JRMW, but if Canelo comes in at 155 for this smith fight, he won't get the title.

Peterson. I hope he does. Every move GBP has made for Canelo since Cotto has tarnished him further.
The guy recently said, along with his team, that they were going to 160 soon, but like most said it was because the Smith fight is struggling to sell like they thought.
Bet you they won't be releasing the ppv numbers.
