Still begging for a Khan payday, SMH.

Khan could be in his grave and these desperate swines would dig his corpse up and fool the World in to thinking he's still alive.

PPV numbers will tell us whether his plan works or not! I'm not sold on Brook yet, because he got broken down in 5, and his win over Porter was not impressive. Brook's resume is weak, and I don't see how getting stopped in 5 makes him "Special."
Glad to know i am not the only one who shares similar sentiments!

I cannot predict who Canelo will fight next but as far as Brooks is concerned,

never have i ever seen a fighter get this much praise with such a thin resume who just got mugged and get this much acclaim!

I would not be shocked if Canelo rights him if for no other reason than it will make lots of money for all concerned and it will be another serious beat down for Brooks!!

He still has unfinished business in the WW division or does anyone know if he is going to vacate instead of getting a career ending beat down from Spence?

If he succeeded to make 147lbs., after going up to 170lbs., Spence Jr. would break him down in 7! He can't go back! Do you remember what Bob Arum said, after Fonfara exposed Chavez Jr.?

              April 20, 2015:

"Well, Crawford's win made me very happy and I wasn't happy necessarily on Chavez's loss because, y'know... what had took us eight or nine years to build, f***ing (Al) Haymon destroyed in one f***ing night,"said Arum to BoxingScene.com on Monday morning.

"So why would I be happy? He exposed what we all knew about Chavez: that he had built his reputation on his ability to come down in weight and then hydrate up so that he was fighting smaller guys.

"Look at every one of his fights, when did he ever fight a guy his own size?"

The fight with Fonfara was at a catch-weight of 172-pounds and for much of the night he was overmatched both physically and technically by the Polish fighter who now resides in Chicago.

"We never, ever, ever put Chavez in a fight where we did not clear it with the father who knows more about boxing than any of those guys around. Who best understands his sons limitations than Julio Sr?," said Arum.

And the the father did go on the record before this fight stating that he would not have chose Fonfara as the opponent in this circumstance, given his son's layoff and the fact that Fonfara was a naturally bigger fighter.

The loss by Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California to Andrzej Fonfara didn't necessarily bring about unbridled joy

As long as Chavez Jr. was able to starve down to 160, he was a beast. But when he could no longer do it, and had to fight guys his own size, he became a mere mortal again. That's what I think about Kell Brook! GGG was a guy his size, but he's a natural MW, not a blown up WW.

bronx2255 you nailed it on the head with the Chavez jr example.

And I remember that comment by Arum after the loss to Fonfara.

Promoters and managers know whats up even as they tell the public their fighter is the best thing since sliced bread! They are very very selective about who they choose as an opponent for their charge.

Brook is the classic example. How old is he again. Not a single quality opponent on his resume. But to hear his groupies talk you would think he was the second coming of Sugar Ray Leonard!

Respect to Eddie Hearn for having succeeded in selling him to the public as this "Special" fighter even in the absence of any data to support that.

The whole thing amuses me and i like and respect Kell but he is nothing special.

At least the hype is totally out of proportion with what he has achieved thus far.

He may still prove some of us wrong but I highly doubt it.

I suspect they will have a lot more white towels in their corner anytime he steps up and fights any quality opponent.

He is decent at best but nothing special. At least not as he is being sold to the public.

                Unfortunately most cannot see that.
