Mayweather is a great fighter but let's not make ****** comparisons. He wasn't even a proper 154 champion, he just moved up to 154 for money fights.

Maidana tried to use tampered gloves, Floyd caught him and made him pay for it, Canelo is a bigger puncher than Maidana, so were Cotto, Pacquiao, Dela Hoya Shane Mosley and the list goes on and on. Hell even Ortiz is probably a bigger puncher than Maidana, we didn't hear anything about Floyd choosing these guys' gloves did we? Dela Hoya even made him wear massive pillow heavyweight gloves while he wore other gloves, nobody said ****, Maidana wore the same gloves Floyd wore.

Definitely not, on top of that Mayweather isn't even a big '47 to begin with. Not even a prime Mayweather, size may not be everything but when the disparity is this big, it becomes everything.

Prime Floyd could pull it off, he knows how to move, how and when to tie his man up and how to be rought on the inside to frustrate him and to kill his momentum, GGG is not a pure offensive fighter like Maidana for instance, he's a come forward counter puncher and Floyd won't give him openings, the only punch Floyd would have to worry about is the jab, the feint hook that GGG always uses wouldn't work on a defensive master like Floyd. 50-50 fight.

which mayweather? i mean he wouldnt be able to get as big as brook so if it was at 160 no chance ggg would be too big regardless of weight difference i just dont think mayweather could be big enough to fight at 160 even with brook weighing more during the build up and weights being technically even it was beyond obvious ggg was still the bigger guy. also are we talking end of his career mayweather or prime mayweather?

I don't think it'd be that easy for GGG against a prime Mayweather who could still sting, but it's clear that GGG should be a clear favorite going into the fight. All of these assumptions of course apply only if the fight was at 160, if the fight was at 154 it'd be easy work for Floyd as usual.

I agree with this 100%. If Mayweather thought he could beat him he would have fought him years ago before he retired. A rusty 38 year old Mayweather wouldn't stand a chance.He couldn't hurt GGG if they let him wear brass knuckles and GGG's jab would set him up for the kill.

Exactly. GGG would just make it a street fight. The thing is GGG has the IQ to recognize that. When he felt brook was beating him outside he just upped the pressure and there was nothing brook could do.

He would just walk down floyd. Its not a fair fight.
