Did Anybody Else Think That Cuadras Ran a Lot Last Night?

Personally, I had the fight scored 8-4, Gonzalez. Don't get me wrong. Cuadras had his moments and gave Gonzalez his toughest fight.

However, I thought Gonzalez won mainly off of aggression. When both guys land about the same, I tend to go with the aggressor. I don't see how else you can score it. And for me, Cuadras showed more running than ring generalship. Thoughts?

Of course he didn't run. Floyd ran about 5000% more than Cuadras against Pac. Its all on slow motion. And Floyd never resettled to pocket spots against Pac...

He used a lot of movement but nothing like track-star Lara. I feel the movement confused Gonzales a lot because he was never sure when Cuadras was going to fight or flee.

No, he utilised effective movement and footwork. He didn't move to avoid fighting, he moved to reset his distance and pivot off after firing his shots. To me 'running' is when a guy is moving to avoid any interaction without throwing any significant punches. The fight was exciting, fights are rarely exciting one of the fighters is 'running' a la Canelo vs Lara (at times)

Oh it was exciting and a lot of fun to watch. Just looked like there was some serious leaping in there. Never like to see that. Great fight though.

that's simply his style of fighting. He uses movement to avoid punishment and reset his offense and then flurries sporadically throughout the rounds.

Good chance of a Srisaket matchup some time...
Guy is still number 1 in the rankings...
                Who you got Aztekkas??

I honestly think he will ko Roman in the late stages of a fan freindly fight...
Srisaket is a ****in monster against guys his own size, Roman is a truly great
fighter but I feel he will be to small and to weak. The thai will muscle him like a rag doll...

That's a FOTY candidate right there. Roman would have to fight a technical fight but I doubt that happens, he only has one style and that plays right into Ringvisai's hands. I doubt anyone could go toe to toe with Rungvisai and come out the winner, his power will wear Gonzalez down and out. I'm with you, I think Srisaket can pull it off due to him being a bigger puncher.

People can argue that the Thai warrior hasn't proven his power and has faced overmatched opponents throughout his career but I think his power is world class. Just look at how Cuadras shrugged off Roman's best shots and pranced around the ring returning fire all night, even staying in front of Roman and trading with him at times. However, he didn't do that wih Srisaket after he felt the power lmao. Remember that body shot that damn near folded him and had him running around the ring for dear life? Yeah, I think Roman would fold in the long run. He doesn't have the foot speed, foot work and his style doesn't lend itself to overcome Rungvisai.

Going by their fights against the same opponent (Cuadras)
I have to say the fight would not end well for Roman...

Been some talk of the man in your sig fighting Inoue If I'm not mistaken...
I think Estrada outboxes him if it happens, but I wouldn't rule out a Inoue
ko. That kid can really punch...

Inoue hits like a mule too . That would be an amazing fight but I think Estrada's experience would triumph over the talented young Japanese fighter. Naoya has never faced a fighter as talented as Estrada and Estrada has tasted heart stopping power numerous times in the past and has taken it rather well. I think Estrada takes it via decision in a terrific fight with some serious drama and back and forth rounds.

Let's hope Estrada fills in at 115 well. He wants to defend against Ioka and possibly take on Nietes before moving up next year to 115.
