Paolo pressured Valuev as hard as he could. In order to beat Valuev you should be a huge hitter (like Peter), a slick boxer (like Donald) or a boxer puncher (like Briggs). Nikolay is just too damn big.

Well you just layed out the outline for a perfect HW. I think Lewis could beaten him easily. Wlad might stand a chance if he can hold on when he gets hit hard. Peter I think has the best chance of beating him, maybe even Briggs.

Would be nice to see Klitschko against a taller opponent.

I think Brewster, Peter and Briggs would beat Nikolay. Not sure about Williamson and Rahman.

And I agree, Lewis would have beaten him easily.

Below you can see my list I put together based on recent accomplishments:

1st Sergei Liakhovich. Lamon Brewster was the man in my view. A win over him is the best he could have achieved. I know he has been unactive lately, but he deserves the spot based on his last fight alone.
I expect Brewster to become champ again very soon, by the way.

2nd Wladimir Klitschko. He stopped the longest reigning champion in Chris Byrd, a big win (at least on paper).

3rd Nikolay Valuev. In my opinion he does not deserve the WBA title because Larry Donald was robbed and John Ruiz should have won the decision or got a draw. But a win over them on paper is big.

4th Hasim Rahman. Draw with Toney (many claim he should have won) and wins over Monte Barrett and Kali Meehan. He can be champ for a long time, since he got his focus back.

5th Lamon Brewster. Big wins over Klitschko, Krasniqi and Golota.

6th John Ruiz. I know lots of boxing fans do not like him, but his record is very good.

7th James Toney. Undefeated at heavyweight. He should stay away from steroids and concentrate more on getting in excellent shape. He has all the tools he needs, I hope so at least.

8th Danny Williams. Defeated unbeaten Audley Harrison and Matt Skelton. His ranking appaears to be a little high right now, time will tell.

9th Chris Byrd. He was the longest reigning champ and has some good names on his record.
Is it true he is moving down to Cruiserweight now?

10th Samuel Peter. For me the most promising prospect out there.

11th Calvin Brock. Undefeated with wins over Jameel McCline, Zuri Lawrence, ...

12th Oleg Maskaev. On a long winning streak. His last win over Sinan Samil Sam was big (he broke his jaw and gave him a brain concussion).

13th Shannon Briggs. Very long winning streak. He should step up soon or get a title shot, he has all the tools he needs in order to become heavyweight champion of the world.

14th Paolo Vidoz. The European champ who defeated Timo Hoffmann (the only man to ever knock him down.

15th Ruslan Chagev. Undefeated, very strong.
            Hiya,
Personally I wouldn't have Lyakhovich no.1 off of beating Brewster, I have Wlad no.1. Valuev too high at 3 if he did not really deserve those decisions, I'd have him about no.8 and you're right, Williams is a bit high at 8 considering he had a debatable win himself against Skelton. Williams might sc**** into my top 15. I'd have Sultan Ibragimov in there somewhere. It's hard to rank them in any confidence though isn't it?

It is a hard job ranking them correctly, you are absolutely right there. I forgot about Sultan Ibragimov for some reason, he definately is top 15.
Thanks for the reply, you make some good points.

                Wlad
                Sergei
                Rahman
                Brewster

These are the man that should be fighting each other.

                I was to see

                Wlad Vs. Rahman
                Wlad Vs. Brewster

Then I want Brewster to finish off Rahman for good after Wlad KOs him.

I havent seen Sergei fight, but I think he needs a bit more experiance. But from what I read he's apparently the ****.

And Valuev would be taken out by any 4 of those fighters.

                And whose Ruiz???
