Froch was past his best and had already talking about retirement before the Groves fight. Prime Froch would have smashed Golovkin.

So does that make ggg a cherry picker?

Carl, you have a natural size advantage on GGG. He weighted 158.8 on Friday, you couldn't make 168 and was contemplating 172. Why didn't you fight him, when he was ready to go to your weight and hometown?

Could say the same about Brook - the only reason he is so dominant at WW is because of his size and weight advantage - how many times did we hear last week that Brook is huge for a WW?

Just pathetic to see them backtrack and change their tune within 30 seconds of the fight once they took peoples money. It's shameless.
Shameless was the guy that took the fight knowing the opponent was too small and had ridiculed a fighter for doing the same thing not long before.

Wasn't Froch saying this fight would be titanic and Brook was more than all he could handle in sparring, the guy is a moron. Reading between the lines he's saying all you need is size to beat GGG, well Froch is over six feet but he was still insecure enough to retire citing GGG should be avoided at all costs.

Indeed. I've always said if Golovkin is willing to let Brook come up 2 divisions, then he needs to have no problems doing the same and moving up. It's only right.

I like GGG but i've always said i don't really give him much credit for this one. I knew Brook will have his moments for as long as he lasts because he's good, but it won't last.

I understand why GGG's team took it. Going to the UK to get paid a lot of money to fight a Welterweight. Easy money but from a boxing perspective it wasn't a good thing.

As a fan of GGG, i'll be very disappointed if he doesn't move up in weight to test himself after allowing a Welterweight to come up two weights to fight him.

I think Froch's opinions should be banned on this forum tbh. He knows jack ****.

I don't know how you came to that, maybe you should stop reading between the lines.

The cherry picking part is refusing the Ward fight at the same 168lbs while accepting the Froch fight. Most people who do not like GGG it's based on that. Had he faced Ward no one would have issues with GGG because he is a tremendous fighter and a great guy.
