GGG viewed the fight as a sparring match, nothing more. If he had treated this fight like he was facing a top guy his own size or bigger, he would have stuck behind the jab and destroyed Brook in a round or two....he almost dropped him in the first with a body shot.

There are levels and I feel GGG stayed in first gear to give Brook a chance. Monroe jr has good movement and switches up his punches and GGG broke him down and punished him too.
exactly this. what other fights do you see GGG just sprinting towards the opponent throwing that volume of heavy shots, you dont. The guy had no respect for brooks power, he fought very very different against lemiuex. Dont think GGG is the type to bull**** either in post fight interviews, first thing he said was he didnt feel brooks punches

I don't buy this crap about Golovkin letting people tee off on him is way of putting on a "show." I agree he's a better boxer than most people give him credit but Brook's power and speed gave him problems. Brook was never going to win the fight. Golovkin knew in the back of his mind he would be able to impose his size but he was made to look bad for a few moments by a guy that was obviously not big enough and had no business being in there with him.
