Yes, it was obviously the right call from his corner. He would have been stopped regardless in a round or two more. No reason to risk health and future career options any further, good call.

not what he said before the fight-didnt he pick brook-F@ckin liars these tv guys. you could tell the whole commentary team were shocked brook made it to 2 rounds.

Them Sky commentators really got behind Brook though (along with the judges) going into the 5th i had it a draw. Every punch Brook landed they got excited sometimes so excited they didint call the 3 or 4 shots landed by Golovkin between Brooks shots. Anyone know what the HBO team was like?

Brook was taking a huge beating and not throwing back. On top of the injury, it was absolutely the right call.

Liam Smith walked through Brooks shots and beat him up in sparring. Kell doesn't have the power and movement north of 147 lbs. He should stay at 147 if he wants a boxing career. Smith will stop him and he knows it.

100 percent the right call to stop the fight.. Too often we see the corners let their fighter take way too much unnecessary punishment. Hats off to Brook for sticking it out as long as he could. Props to his team for making the right call.. I just hope his broken orbital bone doesn't have the same affect that it had on Margarito...
