I hate that. That's what Roy Jones always did before the second Tarver fight. Taking about fights with guys from 160 pounds to 250 pounds. Bernard Hopkins, Joe Calzaghe, Lennox Lewis, even Vitali Klitshcko.

But I'm watchin him on stage now and he seems genuine in his responses, just sometimes when he's given the Camera he speaks as if what he says is "rehearsed"..I personally don't like Oscar cause of that "phoney'ness."
Calling Oscar phoney is like saying Mayorga is the greatest technical boxer of all time. He's as real as it gets my friend. Just because he reverts from warrior to buisnessman every once in awhile doesn't mean you shouldn't respect him any less. Like every good buisnessman, he looks at things from all angles.

Man... it's called looking past boxing. A thing 99% of the boxers today don't do. You can't fight forever obviously so looking into avenues outside of boxing isn't a bad thing. Oscar currently has more money than God... and he's still boxing, so that should tell you where his heart really is.

Just becuase he wants to cut a movie deal, or sign a record contract on the side should not in any sense of the word, make him "phoney". I'd be doing it too.

            changed my mind

After listening to the entire post-fight press conference of De La Hoya I've changed my mind about who I think that Oscar will fight. Since Floyd Mayweather Sr. is an indispensible part of his team it seems unlikely that he will fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. He mentioned that his choice of next opponent will surprise a lot of people, so it's a mystery. He said how comfortable and strong that he felt at 154 lbs. so it's likely that he will stay at his current weight for his next fight. He is likely to have rotator cuff surgery before he fights again though, and that might set him back a few months. He's looking to fight in September, so his surgery on his shoulder must take place right away.

Anyway, we should just wait and see. There's not much point in speculating yet. After his surgery in a month or 2 we can talk about it again.

If he fights Tito I'll be really dissapointed, however, defeating his only real notable loss would allow him to leave boxing with a pretty much spotless record.

I dunno... I personally think he should drop Mayweather Sr. and get Emanuel Steward, then fight Mayweather Jr. After that maybe fight either Hatton, Winky or even Margarito to cement himself as one of the top ten p4p fighters of all time. Just a though
