It's the misplaced marketing where they are trying to pander to certain demographics for ratings instead of just consistently putting on good quality bouts. They pump these guys like they are frigging supermen, the best since Ali and Duran when they haven't done anything really of note and they don't try to challenge themselves at all.

Stuff like that is killing this sport. Boxing has guys whose goals are to get rich making marketing decisions instead of a person whose job it is to build a brand and attract/keep fans. They look out for number 1 by protecting their one or two main investments, the guys they delude themselves into thinking will become the next Floyd or Pac. Same as a lot of corporate structures, ******/misplaced people making key decisions.
