No one will want to fight him now

I do think that it was a bone headed strategy for Golovkin to turn it into a street fight from the bell and open himself up to being tagged. And I don't disagree that Brook outboxed him. He's faster he has good skills. But the problem is that even if you outbox this guy you can't beat him. You can't hurt the MFer and he's just going to bust you up. Who is going to want this now?

    Bad strategy IMO.

That's a good point. I do like him going in there and crushing Brook, rather than dragging it out.

Ward is the most over rated fighter in boxing. Kovalev will crush him and Ward will retire after it.

he really did not have a choice since brook was most effective from the outside, even then GGG was just as good but you dont want a close competittive fight in your opponents backyard

The problem is that fighters see a different fight than fans do. This fight hurts him. Kell Brook brought speed and skills that one brought before and it didn't make a difference. It takes that away as a means to beat this guy. That was still out there. It's gone now.

A lot of pretending going on here. Pretending that GGG had a bad strategy or did something unusual. He tried boxing and working the jab form the onset but Brook started outboxing him and actually hurt him in the 2nd, after which GG started pressuring, which won him the fight. If he would have kept trying to box it might have gone badly so he did the right thing.

Also, it's not like Kell did anything great. He looked good for a couple rounds but couldn't even last through 5 full rounds.

I still think GG should go after the belts at 168. I'm no longer as confident that it will be an easy run for him but as long as Ward's not there, GG should do pretty well at 168 and not have to do the joke fights.

GGG would get backed up at 168..

His hands are always down when he backs out.
