Man no buzz for this fight. All my sports loving friends and family are talking about UFC tonight, CM Punk and NFL starting tomorrow. When I bring up this fight it gets no reaction.

To be fair there is not that much buzz for the Canelo/Smith fight next week outside of Texas. Locally there are people talking about a big fight at Jerry World but the mainstream sports media isn't interested it seems.

huge buzz for it in the uk, pretty much all people have been talking about this weekend. Just hope the fight lives up to the hype, hope its not mega one sided which would put people off boxing.

So what? This a boxing forum, of course its going to be full for a marque matchup. I am talking about mainstream sports fans. This fight is not being talked about. UFC is. College football is, meanwhile this fight is close to starting and its nowhere. Outside of Rafeal ESPN is pretty much ignoring it. They are talking about a former WWE guy going to UFC in his late 30's and college football as well as NFL starting tomorrow.
And like I said the same is going for Canelo's fight next week. Its not getting much hype even though its just a week out. Boxing as a whole is down right now.
