Against this Golovkin, it's no wonder why K2 is so unwilling to simply do everything in their power to just get Alvarez in the ring. Whatever the reason, Golovkin defends shots with his face, makes near no effort to fight on the inside, and still doesn't really seem comfortable keeping the fight long.

Golovkin is basically a shark; a murderous specimen when allowed to simply stalk and come forward, but the moment he stops (or, heaven forbid, is forced to go backwards) and he's dead in the water.

Ggg strategy was to not let brook get technical and bum rushed his a$$. It worked but ggg had to eat punches in the process, but ether way brook got treated like a bum that needed to get koed asap. Ggg didn't respect brook as a fighter but a bum that needed to get out of their. Mad props to kell last longer than I thought

Shocking the World??

Brook's corner were watching out for their guy and thats their job. The only problem I have with the stoppage is that Brook gets to talk BS.
Golovkin had no respect for Brook's power and was looking to end the fight early. He fought a sloppy fight because he had nothing to fear from Brook.
Brook's a WW Alvarez, a naturally bigger guy who can drop lots of weight for the weigh-in and rehydrate back up for the fight, giving him a size advantage in the ring over smaller 147 pounders.
Finally, man I can't stand the wanker Brit commentators, gotta mute it!

Probably the poorest performance by Golovkin since Ouma fight. I think he though he would finish everything in 2/3 rounds. Fans played a massive role IMO. Gennady never looked as annoyed as tonight.

Anyway, the stoppage was spot on. It saved not only Brook's career and health but also made him a moral winner of a sort. He wasn't even KD in the fight and he did maybe win a few rounds.

Good experience for GGG. He needs to work on head movement.

Did you guys really turn the tv off and start posting out of your angus?



GGG and his corner already said in the post fight interview with HBO that GGG was trying to rush the KO and was just swinging for the fences intentionally.

Abel was trying to remind him it was a 12 round fight, and GGG himself gave himself a 3-4/10 performance and said "this was not world class".


Or are you two just ignoring those facts? There is nothing to be concerned about. GGG literally called it a sparring session.

We've seen GGG in "Terminator" mode before, but he got hit too much for my liking. Had he gotten a severe cut or facial injury, we'd all be saying how ****** he is for barely utilizing any head movement.
