He couldn't get Sergio Martinez, Kelly Pavlik, Paul Williams. He couldn't get any of these names for one reason or the other, whether he was rebuilding, fighting cancer, or just wasn't ready, he couldn't get them and these were the resume bulding names

I don't see how Eubank Jr, Saunders, Lemiuex, Lee would make his popularity skyrocket but I guess that's the best 160 has and the best he has to work with other than GGG and Canelo. There's not much in that weight class, so naturally fans won't care about what's going on there other than what Canelo and GGG are doing. Jacobs needs to demand a GGG fight and take advantage of the oppurtunity if he gets it
why not jacobs vs lara he's not a big name but he's known well enough by most boxing fans. all you guys are b1tching about wanting to see lara vs ggg I see no one mentioning this match up.they got the same manager in gaymon so its easy to make.

Maaaan I used to be a fan of this a$$ clown after I heard his comeback from cancer story. Now he's pulling the race card because nobody gives a fck about him fighting Mora for the 2nd fcking time. Dude is a complete idiot.
I feel Crawford and Ward should be more popular because those dudes actually put that work in and fought the guys who they were supposed to fight. Your dumbass didn't do **** except get KTFO by Pirog and beat PQ who was a hypejob himself.

Even if he were to beat GGG, Jacobs still probably won't become a star.

When things don't go the way you want them to, it's racism right?

Jacobs doesn't understand why beating Sergio Mora and Peter Quillin didn't make him a superstar on the level of Floyd Mayweather!

That is because GGG is not a star!

You might be ******ed or delusional. He's afraid to fight Triple G and had a loss. Now redo your post, ******.

Man I hate to pile on, and I usually think the posters here are too hard on most of these fighters (calling them bums, cowards, etc.). Having said that, I have to agree with so much of what has been said. He could be a star if he had more charisma, but there's nothing he can do about that. What he can do something about is how often he fights, and who he fights. In the absence of charisma, he needs a better resume. Being charitable and beating cancer (admirable as these things are) simply aren't going to get him there.

And wtf is Jacobs thinking complaining like this? Yeah, that'll get the fans on your side. I liked Jacobs before I read this interview, but this puts a bad taste in my mouth. He's coming off bad here.

I liked Jacobs too, i like his story of beating cancer and stuff but i don't like how he is asking for all kinds of money against GGG. Pricing yourself out is another way of saying you don't want to fight.
