Word on the streets is that he was holding the mitts for one of his fighters but was holding them too close to his face and actually got KO'ed after a punch missed the mitts. Idk how true this is though.

I am expecting Kovalev to win because of his power and skill. All that mind game stuff won't work on a top pro fighter like Ward. I don't think Kovalev is even trying to beat him mentally. Kovalev will just train hard and fight hard the same as Ward will do and the better fighter will win.

A person trying to not react at all by not saying hi, probably wasn't looking to shake his hand at the end either... Ward has a a very strong focused mindset, you can't go tic for tat with that or you will lose. The only way is to manipulate him into thinking hes doing what he wants to do when really hes doing what you want him to.

I get it now. Your game is that you're one of these guys who has no control so you go over the top with pseudo-psychology that makes you feel empowered.

Video was good.

One thing I would say though is you missed out an obvious point, Sergey "won" what fans see as the traditional stare down. Ward broke first with a smile.

It seemed to me Kovalev felt comfortable after that point.
