Basic, straight up fighters that do everything ok, but nothing spectacular. BoJangles is right man, Pac eats this style up without even having to try.

He's too slow, doesn't have the power to hurt Pac, doesn't have the defense or footwork to cause him any overbalance issues as he attacks, and doesn't have the counter punching ability to take advantage of Pac's offense.

He's just a straight forward, basic fighter that does most things by the book to a high caliber, but has nothing special to trouble Pac whatsoever.

Wtf? You mean like boxingscene is slobbing the knobs of all the other average eastern european fighters we've never even heard of who are the same level as Vargas? Vargas is Hispanic and from Vegas, that's the only reason judges protected him and that he's considered a "star" boxer. He has no top wins, multiple robberies against ESPN level fighters, and lost every round to Bradley but the last, the one decent opponent he's faced. If he was eastern european none of us would have heard of him, forget about fighting Pacquiao. If he was black, he'd be overhyped in the US and protected with easy fights his whole career like Deontay Wilder, and as a result we'd overrate him and he'd be considered on the same level as a Jermell Charlo for example. But if he was eastern european, he'd be unknown to us, and underrated if anything since we'd have never heard of him.

Your kidding right? Rios was very skilled at 135 but when he moved up to 147 he completely deteriorated. Jessie vargas ko of ali shows vargas is a top ww and also shows he deservesthis fight. I think ppl are underestimating vargas. He has quick hands, a superb jab that has lots of pop on it, a great overhand right with alot of power, and also he has shown he has alot more power at 147. If he lets his hands go like he did vs. Ali this fight could be very competitive. He seems real hungry so i think he will let his hands go. I stillthink pac wins a ud but it will be an action packed fight unlike if he were to face crawford or adrien broker

Actually sadam ali was a top welterweight and in the bradley fight many of the rounds were close and vargas almost knocked him out and got robbed. He didnt let his habds go that much abd he said before the ali fight he was going to fight like he did inthe 12th against bradley and let his hands go and made good on that promise. Vargas has some high level wins, ali demarco khaballivab or however you spell it, hes had a good run theselast few years he most definitely is a top ww

A 115-113 fight is pretty much just getting past someone... And Tim dominated that kid until he got caught with one shot in the last round...same way Martinez barely got past Chavez Jr. I guess...

He's at the top with Thurman And Brook..Garcia, spence haven't beaten anyone at 147 yet...
