The Mexican greats did not cherry pick nor avoid opponents that could beat them. They became great because they faced the great ones and beat them. Canelo has not beaten a truly great one in his prime. He beat an old Mosley, and got beat by an old Mayweather.

    Canelo is too slow.

Canelo fought some tougher fights, such as Lara and Trout (at that time). But, too many fighters take the path of least resistance nowadays. If your only goal is to make the most amount of money with the least amount of risk...ok, fine. But, Canelo will earn tens of millions regardless- maybe hundreds of millions. Legacy is what stands the test of time.

Don't pretend that legacy is important and you want to be an ATG and then vacate your title to avoid facing the toughest test out there!

The easy route is to call him an idiot. LOL. However, at the age of 26 with the names that he already has on his resume, I will withhold bashing of this statement until he at least reaches his prime.... Obviously, what he is doing with GGG isn't a step in the right direction though. LOL.

Excuse me, but which other Mexican Great dropped his belt like a coward and fled to another weightclass to avoid his mandatory?

Which other Mexican Great kept talking **** but couldn't back it up? Which other Mexican Great was known as the laughing stock of Mexico and the biggest clown of the country?

Canelo doesn't give a f#ck about your critiсism and says illogical things (in your eyes) only because he knows that he'll fight GGG next year.So STFU and wait b1tches

I can't recall any other "Mexican greats" who were ridiculed for their cowardice by the leading boxing writers of their day.
