i think this would be a tough fight for delahoya but i belive delahoya doesnt' want anything to do with margarito, in delahoyas view mayweather is a more worthy opponet but i think, just maybe! delahoya sees margarito as a bigger, stronger, hitting machine version of rafael ruelas, and delahoya had to take out ruelas early or else he'd have a tough fight on his hands, i think delahoya has always had his fights schedule line up and margaritos rise has, in a way thrown a wrench to the road to mayweather, and or the road to say i defeated the top weleterweights, mayweather has yet to prove he is the best welterweight in the division, belivin mayweather is the best welteweight and mayweather proving it are two different things

Can Margarito beat a respected welterweight (Zab, Mosley or Hatton) before calling out Floyd. At this point the challenges he would present for Mayweather are a theoretical proposition based almost entirely on his size and power. Lets at least see him execute against a big time opponent before throwing him in against Mayweather.

To me Margarito is the crappier version of Mayorga. I've always said that Oscar is the tougher fight for PBF & he proved it tonight, he beat my boy, but Oscar proved he does have balls.

Styles make fights. Mayorga's style sucks against most fighters these days because he's so predictable. EVERYONE and their mother know that Mayorga is going to come in there throwing looping haymakers and being just flat-out wild. Look at what Trinidad did to him, and then what Winky, a great defensive fighter, did to Trinidad in his very next fight...and then tell me Margarito wouldn't stand as good or better chance of beating PFB. These guys are picking Mayorga as a comeback fight for a reason, it's an easy win over a "name" opponent.

Margarito & Mayorga are very similar fighters, you have to be blind not to see it. Actually Mayorga has beaten a guy like Forrest, which is more then I can say about Margarito.

Both men are wild, the only difference is Mayorga is faster with a better chin.

Again not one person as answered my question, who is a tougher fight Delahoya or Margarita??

Margarito is taller and more thoughtful with his punches. He's also a better straight puncher than Mayorga. They are really nothing alike; have you seen Margarito's fights? They clearly do not resemble each other in their styles. Go watch some of Margarito's fights and get back to me.

Yes I've seen many Margarito fights. He's a slower version of Mayorga.
