You see we have made what happened in the past disappear to protect the coward Golovkin.
Yea I understand guys have moved up 2 divisions at various times. I conceding as much in my post. We could probably name another 30, 50 or more notable champions who've done the same, but lets not confuse things & act like its not a extremely rare move among the thousands of great boxers this sport has produced over a century of boxing as we currently know it. And it'd never be "the perfect move to make" in particular when one of the biggest fights to make in the entire sport is a guy who held one of the titles in the same division you are in this year.

And further along with this Rosado opinion few find Ward to be exciting from jumpstreet & two Eastern European/Russian/Russian state caliber guys fighting in the US isn't gonna be a PPV bonanza for anyone.

          Interviewer: Why not?

Rosado: Because he won't. Ward was willing to go 50/50 with him but he wouldn't do that

Interviewer: Why do they give Canelo grief for not going up to 160 to fight GGG but don't give GGG grief for not going up to 168 to fight Ward

Rosado: The marketing team has a clever way of manipulating the fans and tricking the fans. And they're really good at it. They're really good at manipulating the fans. I'm in the game. I know what they're doing...I can't be mad at them though because they're good at it.

In this interview he said he made a mistake going from 154 to 160 and fighting GGG without any tune ups. He said he didn't feel comfortable at 160 until he fought Peter Quillin which was his third fight at middleweight.

Yes jumping 2 divisions is not normal but Golovkin's team says he's great so why do we act like it's impossible? Qawi is almost forgotten for his division jumping but Golovkin is called a king for 1 division.

Kovalev vs Golovkin would be a 10 million dollar fight in Russia.

And still he's done what Golovkin isn't man enough to do.

And who's debating any of this or at least that its not a reasonable expectation/option? I'm not.

I'm saying GGG fighting the winner of Kovalev vs Ward is for sure absolutely without question NOT the perfect move to make for GGG.

Whatever GGG vs Ward or GGG vs Kovalev would do money or legacy wise for GGG, GGG vs Canelo would do 2x as much on a rainy day, at a horribly decided upon venue with 10% of the revenue of the fight being dedicated to Neo-****s. Canelo vs GGG is the perfect move for both guys & the sport as whole next & its completely silly to suggest otherwise.

Its not so much a great move for GBP as it puts the strength of that promotion at risk with their clear #1 fighter potentially being KO'd or losing & devaluing GBP the company.

GGG was ready to fight NEXT.
Ward wasn't. He wanted the 50/50 split agreed to up front for a fight sometime in the future that he can't even make the weight for.
Would've happened around the time Ward fought Barrera or Brand.
After the Brand fight Ward said he can't even make 168.

                    You should already know this

Couched in deliberately dense enough terms to insult our intelligence, I guess. Clearly, it's a warranted insult for a lot of us, but still.
