You can pretty much be sure that if they didn't offer him the contract they did, stipulating he must fight Kovalev, he wouldn't be fighting him in November or anytime soon. You can tell by his/his team's opponent selection leading up, that that fight would've taken much longer to happen if HBO didn't step in. So many of his fans cry about how Golovkin can't do no wrong. It wasn't a word game but if you say moving up to middleweight instead of moving up to 160 it means something different. He fought at middleweight while fighting at 155. But he never fought at 160. Just clarifying because those two statements have two different meanings.
