Why couldn't have Oscar and Golden Boy made this statement months ago? This makes perfect sense.

Canelo needs to first beat Liam Smith then fight 2 True Middleweights then fight GGG.

Y didn't GGG's team offer Canelo the fight at some catchweight with the middleweight belts NOT on the line? If GGG really wanted that fight, they said anyone from 154 to 168, y not Canelo at 156 157? Hopkins, who was bigger and older than GGG accepted a similar deal against Dela Hoya, all great fighters had to accept the demands of the A side to get fights that can make them the A side in the future, but it looks like GGG's team isn't willing to take any chances to boost GGG's career and will use the KO of bums way for promoting GGG as that monster who nobody wants to fight.
