Ward doesn't get credit because he has second highest boxing IQ to Floyd and second boringest style to Floyd.They are geniuses of sweet science best since Leonard. Fans like caveman brawls ultra fans like science. Floyd only fighter in history to make most money with this no action cherry picking style once in a life time phenomenon. Can't be explained

So are you saying that his recent level of competition has been on par with his skills? I don't think so. And that's why I feel that his wins have been more due to the lesser level of competition than his level of skill.
He's un-gauged right now. He's going to look good against the level he's been fighting against. Had he been fighting top 10 guys, or top 5 guys, and beating them convincingly, then truly only haters would be knocking him.
I'm a realist first, though.
And I'm a fan of boxing, not a fan of fighters.
And the skill vs. opposition argument is easily applied to Golovkin as well.

We were due for another one of Ward's "woe me" articles.

Kid screwed up his own career with his decisions and thinks it's someone else's fault. And the sad thing is that he's still living off his 'accomplishments'. He's still in Top5 P4P lists despite not fighting anyone decent in 4 years, and he's still getting paid $2M to fight absolute bums.

Its not so hard to see why mr ward.

1) Continously ducks good competition( Bute, GGG 2013, the pimp Stevenson).

2) Fights 4 bums in a row while having better opposition available.

3) Sued the promoter that made his career and got him very good paydays considering hes nowhere near a draw.

4) Tries to fight a guy that is so bad that the commision wont let him.

5) Plays the victim card instead of accepting that there are very good reasons as to why not to like him.

So there are your reasons mr ward. But hey feel free to ignore them and continue to play the victim card. Your fans love seeing you play the victim card because they also play the victim card. Its one of the easiest ways to go through life.

There's a whole bunch of reasons.

First off he fought in a division that was dominated by mainly European fighters, so it didn't get the coverage it needed state side. At the time of his rise, the welterweight division was the hot division that everyone was talking about from 2008-2011. The divisions around WW also got attention as well. Super middleweight was getting covered mainly in Europe.

Following the Super Six he certainly got the credit from the boxing community that he wanted and then a year later went onto dominate Chad Dawson which further established him as a top fighter.

However he failed to capitalize during the 2013-2015 stretch, which was a very important stretch where HBO was desperately looking for another star after Pacquiao got KOed by Marquez and Floyd left the network.

Injuries and promotional issues allowed Golovkin to essentially steal his spotlight and become the household name for HBO.

Ward has been very jealous of Golovkin's success and has resorted to making snide comments, which turned off a lot of fans and media as well.

I love heart and courage of real like Rockys enjoy their excitement but I appreciate science so much more even a Floyd or Ward clinch is science they take away your best hand slowly bust you up. Ward cleaned out SM with this style Froch he best with 1 hand

If he wins he'll have 3 of the 4

If he wins, he'll get credit for the win and the championships. He will be considered the man at that weight class. Stevenson is all talk with a left hand. But even he doesn't live up to the word 'champion'.
But back to Ward...
If he wins, I expect him to attempt to unify, as he'll now be the man. If he can't unify, I expect him to either defend his titles and not drop any of them (a true champion should not do that) or fight a perceived big time threat who is not a mandatory with the sanctioning bodies' blessings.

Agree with him 100%. He would get worshipped in any country. But things are different in America I guess.
