So that would be Roc Nation doing business with a Haymon guy, probably through DiBella whom is working with Roc on a Shobox card. Interesting turn of events but probably the best route Roc could go to keep their company viable.

I was thinking Peterson should fight Spence, but fighting Spence or fighting Cotto I think the choice is clear. even coming up in weight Peterson is still fighting the smaller less powerful man in my opinion. Still probably too much for Peterson though~

It's a decent fight, but not PPV worthy. I wonder if Cotto is waiting to see if Brook can pull off the win over Golovkin, then challenge him? I heard they were in talks earlier this year, but I guess Cotto couldn't agree with some terms.

SMH, since when did Peterson become good? Because he hung tough with DSG? lol, Im not knocking Cotto because this is probably his last fight after a good career but for people to act like Peterson is any good is beyond me...

I kind of like it. Lamont can be a real challenge for Cotto.

Lamont is a tough guy. He has some moxy! He will give as good as he gets while it last. I just don't think he can handle Cottos body shots. However the guy is tough. He would last longer than Kirkland.

Rigo's going to be the co-main, lol!

So Cotto found a light-punching smaller man to fight. He must've seen the Garcia fight liked his chances. Disappointing that if RN/Haymon are willing to do business that it wasn't one of Haymon's good JMW's like J-Rock. Hell, Spence/Cotto or Thurman/Cotto would be a decent ppv, even Porter/Cotto would've been interesting, but not light-punching Peterson. But Cotto already turned down Brook, so he's just looking for a safe payday w/o getting hurt.

              Cotto's a shot-caller, yet he picked a soft-opponent.

I like Kirkland better tbh. I think Kirkland falls down prettier.

Be interesting to see if this fight is legit as I believe it'll be the first time we get a Haymon & RN fight who I believe have or had beef in the past although thats speculation based on the music industry rumors, the fact that RN tried to hijack a bunch of Haymon guys upon coming into boxing & the whole Quillin purse bid situation would could be all much ado about nothing.

all of a sudden peterson is no good?

most of ya wasn't saying that **** when/after he fought DSG.

either way... better than that joke gamboa and kirkland...

still I would have preferred tim bradley.
