    Ouma-Rubio round by round

Rubio came in at 171 to Ouma's 158. Rubio is large.

Round 1: Rubio rocks Ouma, Ouma almost falls. Ouma continues forward, is blasted AGAIN and goes down. Ouma gets up from his butt and seems ok, but he was definitely legitimately rocked and knocked down. Rubio 10-8

Round 2: Ouma walks Rubio down despite being knocked down, and throws lots of leather. Rubio seems discouraged with this change of events. Ouma is very accurate, but then is rocked again! Ouma lands more however and takes the round. Ouma 10-9

Round 3: Ouma walks Rubio down more, and lands. Ouma moving head better and avoids getting rocked. Rubio's corner told him in between rounds to calm down in effect. The fight is competitive but Ouma takes tis one again, frustrating Rubio withhis perseverence. Ouma 10-9

Round 4: Body shots are traded, HARD ones at that. Merchant describes Rubio as becoming "passive" and makes fun of him for being a male nurse former career. Ouma walking Rubio down and coming in with head movement and a jab. Ouma 10-9

Round 5: Ouma is landing EVERYTHING. 1-2's, right hooks, uppercuts, accurate combos of all flavors. Rubio is being pushed back by the much smaller southpaw. Rubio lands a hard right hand but Ouma has adapted. Ouma 10-9

Round 6: Rubio is bleeding from the nose, and his eyes are swelling. He is getting caught with straight lefts over and over. Ouma contiues to land at a high rate in general. Rubio suddenly lands a few crunching blows and backs Ouma into the ropes. Ouma also has some minor eye swelling. Ouma 10-9

Round 7: Ouma's performance has been beastly, but his right eye is swelling. Rubio is falling into Ouma's trap on the inside, where Ouma lands what he wants and avoids most of Rubio's shots. Rubio needs to be more assertive and use power. Ouma 10-9

Round 8: Ouma is just doing more of the same. He is really tiring Rubio, and Rubio is fighting back. However, he just is being worn down and outwilled by the former soldier, Ouma. (Ouma has been literally killing people since age 11). Ouma 10-9
