    Chilemba and Barrera ducked Beterbiev

According to Ivon Michel Beterbiev was supposed to fight in september but because finding a good oppenent is hard they will have to delay it in october and most likely take place in united-states

Michel said they sent offer to Barrera and Chilemba both declined by asking 200 000 & 300 000 $.

So who's do you think will accept to fight beterbiev?

Artur has no belt and is KOing everything he touches - I'm not saying that I like it, but it's a high risk, low reward proposition. Barrera got more than twice that to face Ward and whilst I don't know what Chilemba got against Kovalev at least there were 3 belts on the line. Either fight has far more upside for Beterbiev than for the opponent.

This is the new game everyone plays, "he priced himself out". $200k doesn't sound unreasonable for someone who just had good exposure on HBO and would likely be taking a big step down in pay. We're not talking a million bucks here, or even half that.

        I'm on the Beterbeast squad.

        I don't blame them.

Last year, Beterbiev (then ranked #1 by IBF) dropped an offer to fight Kovalev in Russia. Now Duva refused to feed Chilemba to him... Is this a surprise?

Beterbeast is being wasted away this year. I know he has had an inury to deal with but now he is over it and waiting to get in the ring.

I actually forgot about him for a moment with the Kova-Ward fight being negotiated and announced. His team should have put him in pole position to fight the winner or at the least up against Stevenson. No more gimme opponents.

Ofcourse they dont wanna fight Beterbiev, as u said high risk low reward and he doesnt have a belt yet, no prospect that has worked their way to a title would want to to ruin that by fighting the the savage that is Beterbiev, especially seeing youd probably get knocked out 99% of the time, hardest puncher p4p

I don't blame Chilemba or Barrera tbh.. Beterbiev isn't a titlist and they get nothing out of the fight.. They are no journeymen or not yet to feed to Beterbiev.. they might fight for a good fat check..

Not a duck, if they were asking for 200k or 300k that means they were offered absolutely peanuts. Why would you fight an absolute monster like Beterbiev for under 200k?

The word ducking is thrown around like crazy.

As if he would beat Chilemba.

They had a chance to fight Chilemba before and turned it down.
