This sums it up. Canelo would rather drop a belt than face him. And I don't see much disparity in opponents. Brook is a champion. Smith is a champion. Brook has Porter on his resume who I believe is better than anybody on Smith's resume. Where's the great disparity?

Also, if GGG is successful against Brook AND IF he faces and defeats Jacobs in December his resume will eclipse Canelo's.

Canelo's biggest win is against Cotto. I don't rate Austin Trout, I don't really rate Lara that highly either, Jacobs is better than both. You don't get points for getting utterly embarrassed by Mayweather or beating 41 year old Shane Mosley.

So yea, all it takes is a win over Brook and a win over Jacobs.

Of course Canelo can change that by fighting better opponents than Liam Smith. Maybe someone like Demetrius Andrade?
