Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Feels Brook Made a Mistake By Bulking Up For Golovkin

Amir Khan (31-4, 19KOs) feels that his domestic rival, IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs), made the wrong decision by bulking up in weight for the upcoming showdown with IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs).

I always wondered how Pac was the stronger fighter against Cotto, Margarito, DLH, Mosley and Clottey.

Maybe Brook can also be the stronger fighter like Pac was when he steps in against GGG

Khan has the right idea. I expect a shootout where Brook gets drilled.

It's not like Brook has bulked up though. He walks around very heavy. It didn't surprise me when i saw his 30 day weigh in. Look at him between fights when he does some work on Sky, he has a big double chin and everything.

There won't be a big size difference between the two men. The difference is Brook is used to fighting Welterweights smaller than him, and not very good ones at that... and i say that as a fan of Brook. That's where the difference will be felt by Brook i think.

Brook is the exact opposite. He looks like he has glue on the soles of his shoes, he can't get out of any shots, whatever is thrown lands on his chin. Pacquiao was quick and still carried his power whereas Brook now only throws arm punches. There won't be any surprises in this fight, Brook will get drilled and will be lights out. The ref will probably save him early but definitely this won't be good value for money.

Khan actually sounding concerned? I think brook neefds to be hurt too make Khan v brook likely.

I think brook is doing fine. He iusnt purposely trying to put weight on he just isn't killing himself making weight. If you prepare smartly in the gym you can do it without needing warm up fights at the weight. If u can do it yoiu can do it regardless.
Ideally he'd have a few warm uos just to see how well he does but it is what it is.

win, lose, or draw i'm giving Brook credit for doing what it takes to try to win the fight. secondly atleast he's not making body weight excuses to duck like that guadalajara red coward who comes in on fight night at cruiseweight.

I don't know how Brook can survive past 5, he's not fast on his feet, his hand speed is nothing but average. He certainly can't hurt GGG because golovkins walked through big punchers at 160. People are saying Brook is better boxer but he really isn't, golovkins amateur record is unreal and he won a silver in the Olympics. Kell could take a real bad beating for 5-6 rounds where he might not ever be the same and then get brutally knocked out.
