This unfortunately underscores the reality of boxing. Kell Brook who has fought only one fighter of note two years ago, is being hyped as the biggest challenge to a middleweight fighter who is supposedly on the p4p list. And thats with out even including the fact that Brook is a welterweight. Having said that, Im not sure if this is a referendum on boxing or GGG. I really like to watch GGG fight but lately I find myself hoping for at least 6 competitive rounds as GGG continues to fight subpar and over matched competition. Generally heavyweights can not move up or down when they can't get fights, however most fighters in other divisions make that choice when they can't land meaningful fights at thier weight. Should a fighter have to move? Nope. But thats not the reality of the sittuation. Enough with the "nobody wants to fight me excuse", dare to be great. The WBC Middleweight belt was one of the only belts left that maintained a true lineage, from the old school Ring rules, that lineage is now broken (yes, because of Canelo). That was the only belt worth a damn at middleweight. Winning all the belts at middleweight means very little at this point, 1 division up is where its at, and there is some mouth watering fights up there for GGG.

Seems like he had a lot left to give and was very far from "used goods."
